Youth Substance Abuse Safety Program

In July 2000 a new law went into effect that allowed police officers to give a civil ticket for 16-20 year olds who were consuming or possessing alcohol.

Court Diversion Programs were designated to establish and administer the Teen Alcohol Safety Program (TASP) in each county.

Beggining July 1, 2013 16-20 Year olds who are in possesion of less than one Ounce of Marijuana are also issued a civil citation.
